I have something of a reputation for "penabling" everyone around me, to varying degrees of success. I love handing out Pilot Varsities, old cheapies I don't use, etc. to friends and coworkers. Usually to no further end, just because it's fun, but yesterday a coworker told me she loved the pen I gave her so much she went and bought a bunch of inks, one bottle of which she wanted to give to me! I was delighted... but cautious, as she ordered them off Temu.

A quick search of the brand (Banmi) indicated that the brand isn't especially well known in the west but it seems perfectly safe for pens otherwise. So I brought a Preppy to fill up today when she brought the ink in. Not an ink that is going in, say, my Pelikan m600 Glauco Cambon. lol

Initially, it was clog city. Too much glitter. lmao

But look at that colour!

A little careful encouragement and I did have the pen writing, however.

Stunning blue-purple with coppery shimmer. Really nice! In a dip pen or a much wetter writing pen that tolerates glitter well, this will be a really fun one I think. So yeah. Penable your friends and coworkers! It's fun! You might get a questionable (but ultimately probably fine) Temu ink! This one is Sirius by Banmi, if you want to check it out yourself.

As a footnote, that Platinum Preppy Wa doesn't usually come with a blue cap. I just liked the body so much I stole a matching cap from a Prefounte. lol

I love the word "penabling." You might consider sharing this on [profile] journalsandplaners where all the pen mavens hang out.

Most communities are like a lounge where people sit around and discuss things.

Some are like a newsletter that goes out periodically with a bunch of information in it.

Some are like bulletin boards where anyone can post information of a specific type, usually in a specific format.

These resources talk about how communities work:
